The UF/IFAS Sumter County Extension office is sponsoring quarterly networking gatherings of farmers and prospective farmers. These gatherings will take place at a local farm and will include a tour of the farm, a short program by UF faculty members Susan Kelly and Dr. Cami Esmel, and a potluck meal.
The purpose of the gatherings is for local farmers, ranchers and growers to be able to network with one another to share ideas and information. The first gathering will take place at Center Hill Berry Patch, 8142 CR 702 in Center Hill and will be hosted by owners Rick and Bonnie Vencis. The Center Hill Berry Patch has become a well-rounded agritourism farm with a u-pick blueberry and blackberry operation as well as value added products, petting zoo and other crops.
Please bring a dish to share and a lawn chair. To register please call Susan Kelly at (352) 793-2728 ext 236 or register online at http://summer2012f2f.eventbrite.com
